With your help, eligible organizations could secure and additional $3,500 with “One Gift | Twice the Impact.”

“One Gift | Twice the Impact” on September 18 through October 10, holds an incredible opportunity for eligible organizations. During that time, Legacy Regional Community Foundation will match up to $3,500 in donations (and maybe more) made to our endowment fund - our long-term savings – thanks to a generous gift from Patterson Family Foundation.

Here’s how it works:

Make a donation to Legacy for the benefit of the eligible organization of your choice.

Eligible organizations with endowments include:

• Arkansas City Rotary
• Arkansas City Habitat for Humanity
• Bartlett Arboretum
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cowley County
• Camp Horizon Building and Maintenance
• Cowley County Humane Society
• Eagle Nest Inc.
• Friends of Cowley County Extension
• Joseph's Storehouse/Sunflower Outreach
• Kiwanis of Winfield
• Legacy Founder Fund
• Soroptimist Club of Arkansas City
• Vision Caldwell/S.H.A.R.E.
• Winfield Community Theatre
• Winfield Habitat for Humanity
• Winfield Public Library
• Wm Newton Foundation Endowment

• The 2023 match pool is $70,000. The match will be divided among the participating nonprofit organizations up to $3,500 per organization. Your gift will go to our endowment and the Patterson Family Foundation match will be distributed now for operating needs.
• Cash and checks made payable to Legacy Foundation dated and received between September 18 – October 10, 2023 are eligible for match consideration.
• Donations are tax deductible and can be divided among multiple organizations. One receipt will be issued to each individual making a donation.

GIVE. Establishing a fund with Legacy provides permanent support to organizations and projects in our community. Legacy accepts a wide variety of assets and can facilitate complex forms of giving while offering maximum tax advantages. We can also partner with your professional advisors. Let us get to know you, manage the details and help you achieve your charitable purpose! Through Legacy, donors generously gave over $1 million in 2019.

GROW. Legacy focuses on stewardships of your gifts. The foundation multiplies the impact of your donation by pooling your giving with other gifts and grants. Legacy leverages "buying power" to earn investment income, enabling a gift to make a greater impact than it could on its own. In 2019, Legacy assets grew to over $7.7 million.

GRANT. Grants and scholarships to charitable causes are distributed from foundation investment earnings. Legacy works in the community to aid nonprofit organizations, monitor economic conditions, identify social needs, and produce sustainable solutions to community challenges. In 2019, because of YOU, nearly $530,000 was awarded to benefit our region.
